WiFi Mesh 7 System: Huawei Introduces New Router

Huawei’s new Mesh 7 WiFi system is designed to make the company’s own network faster, more reliable, and even more powerful. The dynamic interaction of software and hardware is intended to ensure lightning-fast transmission speeds as well as reliable connections and a long range.

Simple WLAN mesh solution

Visually, the Huawei WiFi Mesh 7 relies on a sleek, white design that blends unobtrusively into any home. The innovative router system supports modern technologies such as NFC. When an NFC-enabled smartphone is held against the top of the router, it connects directly to the WiFi without entering a password.

The router relies on tri-band and offers eight transmission rates of up to 6600 Mbps in the WiFi 6+ network. The data transfer rate of the 5 GHz high band is up to 4804 Mbps. In addition, the router supports the latest 4K QAM and 4×4 MIMO technology. According to the manufacturer, the range is also outstanding; the WiFi Mesh 7 is supposed to cover distances of up to 557 m² and provide good reception. Additional mesh routers can be integrated quickly and easily to further improve the range.

For added security, the system features WiFi encryption and password protection, as well as an anti-brute force algorithm that prevents outsiders (such as WiFi Master Key) from accessing the network.

The Wi-Fi guest function also allows a separate password to be set for visitors. This allows guests to use the network connection without having access to connected devices. To help children develop healthy Internet usage habits, WiFi Mesh 7 allows parents to limit the usage time for children’s tech devices and restrict access to certain online content.

Using the HUAWEI Smart Life app, the digital image of the home can be defined and a signal heat map can be created to see the signal strength and coverage in the home at a glance and determine the ideal location of the router. In the event of connectivity problems, Smart Diagnostics helps troubleshoot and fix them.

Price and Availability

The HUAWEI WiFi Mesh 7 will be available in Germany from November 2021 at a recommended retail price of 399 euros in the HUAWEI online store and in retail stores.
