Peripheral manufacturer Nacon has introduced the MG-X, an exciting new controller for mobile gaming. The official Xbox controller specifically for mobile gaming on Android is available for pre-order now.
Comfort meets compatibility
The Nacon MG-X is the first device in the new series, which is intended to appeal specifically to mobile gamers with an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. The design borrows heavily from Microsoft’s Xbox Series X/S controller, except that the MG-X’s own smartphone takes its place at the center.
Android smartphones with a screen of up to 6.7 inches can be attached in the controller. The controller has an adjustable width that holds the user’s device securely. The compact size means that the MG-X can easily fit in small pockets, while also scoring points with a textured back that provides an excellent grip.
The Nacon mobile controller connects wirelessly via Bluetooth 4.2, and the built-in battery should last up to 20 hours, depending on the game. Charging is done via the included USB-C cable, while an LED display informs about the battery status.
Another mobile controller, the Nacon MG-X Pro, will follow at the end of 2021. It is even more similar to the Xbox gamepad and uses two earpieces. This is intended to deliver a mobile gaming experience that is even closer to traditional controllers.
Prices and Availability
The Nacon MG-X controller will be available starting September 20 at an MSRP of 99.90 euros and is available for pre-order now. Pre-orderers in the manufacturer’s official store will receive the controller three days before the official market launch and will get a Thomson powerbank with 10,000 mAh capacity, as well as a PC game from Nacon for free. The MG-X Pro will follow at the end of 2021, which also has an MSRP of 99.90 Euros.
