Noctua NH-L12 Ghost: Flat CPU cooler for very small ITX cases

Noctua launches a new edition of the ultra-flat NH-12 CPU cooler with the added name Ghost, which fits perfectly into very small ITX cases due to its low height of only 66 millimetres. The Loque Ghost S1, which supports coolers up to a maximum of this height, would be a good choice here.

Noctua NH-L12 Ghost: New mounting system, same heat sink

Compared to the old model, the NH-L12 Ghost CPU cooler offers a new mounting system, which allows the installation in current mainboards for AMD and Intel CPUs. Here the same 92mm fan as the predecessor is used, which is also mounted under the fins. The heat sink itself is also unchanged. However, the 120mm fan is omitted on the cooling surface, which is why manufacturer Noctua advises against overclocking the CPU for the Ghost Edition of the NH-L12. The slim fan underneath the CPU cooler’s fins ensures noise reduction in very small ITX cases.

The CPU cooler measures 150 x 138 x 66 mm with and without fan. The Noctua NH-L12 has a weight of 410 g without fan and 500 g with fan. The heatpipes are made of nickel-plated copper, while the fins are made of nickel-plated aluminium. According to the manufacturer’s specifications, the fan has an output of 300 to 1,600 revolutions per minute with an air flow rate of 64.3 m³ per hour. The fan reaches a noise level of 17.6 dBA.

Noctua NH-L12 Ghost: Price and availability

The Noctua NH-L12 Ghost-Edition CPU cooler is available for 54.90 euro. The fan is already available at this price directly from the manufacturer or via Amazon. The CPU cooler will be available in the remaining free trade at a later date. It has not yet been announced exactly when this will happen.
