Oura Ring 4 officially unveiled: Small, smart and precise

The next generation of the popular Oura Ring is in the starting blocks. The Oura Ring 4 will be available from October 15, 2024 and brings with it some exciting new features that should appeal to technology enthusiasts and health-conscious people alike.

Important innovations at a glance:

  • More compact design: the Oura Ring 4 is smaller and more comfortable than its predecessors.
  • Improved sensors: New, more precise sensors for more accurate health data.
  • Longer battery life: Up to 8 days of battery life per charge.
  • New features: Advanced health features, including cycle prediction and breathing disorder analysis.

Technical highlights of the Oura Ring 4

The Oura Ring 3 (329.00 euros on Amazon) already found many wearers thanks to its impressive technical features. But with the fourth generation, Oura has gone one better. The biggest improvement in the new generation lies in the sensors. These are not only smaller, but also flatter inside the ring, making it much more comfortable to wear.

The new smart sensing platform works in combination with a revised algorithm that increases the accuracy of the measured values. Measurements of oxygen saturation in the blood and heart rate, both during the day and during sleep, are particularly emphasized. The more precise analysis of breathing disorders is another new feature that makes the ring particularly interesting for health-conscious users.
with health awareness.

Improvements over previous models

Compared to previous versions, the Oura Ring 4 is not only smaller, but also offers a longer battery life. While the previous models achieved a maximum runtime of seven days, the new ring lasts up to eight days. Another advantage is the shorter charging time: the ring is fully charged within 80 minutes.

The new ring will also be available in a total of twelve sizes and six different colors – including black for the first time. Another plus point is the revised app, which is divided into three sections: “Today”, “Vital signs” and “My health”. Here users can find
current daily data on sleep, stress and cycle as well as longer-term health analyses.

Price and availability

The Oura Ring 4 can already be pre-ordered and will be delivered from October 15, 2024. The price range starts at 399.00 euros for the basic version (silver or black) and goes up to 549.00 euros for the gold or rose gold versions.
