With the B-Line 243B9H, Philips’ brand license partner MMD presents a new business monitor that is equipped with a webcam, among other features, making it suitable for the home office.
24 inches and Full HD resolution
The new device measures 24 inches diagonally and comes with Full HD resolution. The IPS panel thus has a pixel density of 93 PPI. Furthermore, it wants to convince with a brightness of 250 candela per square meter, a contrast ratio of 1,000:1, a refresh rate of 75 Hz and 16.7 million colors. The response time of four milliseconds makes it clear that this is a product for the office and by no means a gaming monitor. Thus, the new monitor ties in with its B-series predecessors.
USB-C port and ergonomic features
The screen also has a number of ports, including a USB-C port, which can be used not only to transmit the image signal, but also to power other devices. There is also a USB 3.2 hub with three ports for fast data transfer.
The device is also equipped with a SmartErgoBase stand, which allows adjusting the monitor’s height, swiveling, tilting and rotating. Flicker-free technology, low-blue and easy-read modes round out the ergonomic features of the B-Line 243B9H.
Pop-up webcam for video chats
A webcam is now a must-have in the home office, and MMD seems to know this: the monitor is equipped with a pop-up webcam that can be moved out of the case when needed and retracted into it when not in use. The webcam is also equipped with sensors for Windows Hello face recognition. The screen’s features are completed by integrated stereo speakers, which are just as necessary for video calls as the camera.
Price and availability
The new monitor is available immediately. The recommended retail price is 300 euros.
