Philips introduces M3000 and M5000 gaming monitors

Philips is expanding its range of gaming monitors in the M3000 and M5000 series with a total of four new Momentum displays. The 24M1N3200VA, 24M1N3200VS and 24M1N3200ZA rely on a 24-inch screen diagonal, while the 27M1N5500ZA offers even more picture with 27 inches.

Philips Momentum M3000: The all-rounders for gaming

The M3000 series from Philips positions itself as a gaming all-rounder and wants to convince with a strong performance across genres. Here, the manufacturer relies on a three-sided frameless, dignified design that also cuts a good figure in the office.

All three new monitors offer a Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels). Philips relies on an IPS panel for the 24M1N3200ZA, while the 24M1N3200VA and 24M1N3200VS are equipped with a VA panel for particularly high contrasts.

In terms of ergonomics, they are all tiltable, and the 24M1N3200VA and 24M1N3200ZA also have a pivot and swivel function, as well as the option of height adjustment. Common to all monitors is the high frame rate of 165 Hz, which is achieved via HDMI or DisplayPort, as well as a response time of 1ms (MPRT). Adaptive Sync is also supported.

Philips Momentum M5000: QHD monitor with 165 Hz

Philips’ new M5000 monitor, the 27M1N5500ZA also offers a frame rate of 165 Hz, while the response time of 1 ms (gray to gray) is also extremely low. The manufacturer relies on a NanoIPS panel for the 27-inch display to achieve a particularly sharp picture with extremely high contrasts.

Thanks to QHD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels) and SmartImage HDR, the 27M1N5500ZA is supposed to score with a convincing picture quality all along the line. Adaptive Sync is also on board here. In addition, the monitor has built-in stereo speakers and an integrated USB hub.

Prices and Availability

The three monitors in the Philips M3000 series will find their way into stores starting in late November and December, respectively. Things get started for the 24M1N3200VS at an MSRP of 229 euros. The 24M1N3200VA costs 239 euros, while the 24M1N3200ZA is offered for 249 euros. In February 2022, the 27M1N5500ZA of the Philips M5000 series will follow at an MSRP of 479 euros.
