Philips M5000 series now available

Philips has announced a brand new monitor series. According to the US electronics manufacturer, e-sports fans in particular should get their money’s worth with the M5000 series.

Tailored for modern graphics cards and consoles

The hardware in gaming PCs is becoming increasingly powerful. However, this also only brings something if you have a suitable monitor for high-quality image reproduction. Now Philips seems to want to cater to exactly this division with its brand new M5000 series. Particularly exciting is that the manufacturer obviously does not only want to serve PC gamers. The company also has next-gen consoles in mind. After all, two new monitors, the 27M1N5200PA and the 32M1N5800A, are going on sale. Both models have their own advantages. While the slightly smaller 27M1N5200PA focuses on a high refresh rate, the 32M1N5800A, for its part, wants to score with its sheer size and a high resolution.

Philips 27M1N5200PA is perfect for gaming

For die-hard gamers, the Philips 27M1N5200PA is especially interesting. This is primarily due to the special Fast IPS panel that the manufacturer installs here. It is smaller than the larger model, but you also get a refresh rate of 240 Hz. You should be able to benefit from this especially in fast e-sports games. The high hertz rate in particular promises razor-sharp moving images without distortions even in fast games. In combination with the latency of just 0.5 ms, this promises promising multiplayer battles.

In particular, Philips wants to fight against annoying effects like blurring or even ghosting. The Philips 32M1N5800A might offer a lower refresh rate than the 27-incher, but the other specs sound promising. Besides a 4K UHD resolution, the 144 Hz should probably be more than enough for average users. The 32M1N5800A should be able to score especially in the home office. In view of its sheer size, this is more than understandable. After all, it shouldn’t only score in video conferencing. The 32 inches also promise a great overview in the area of multitasking.

Philips 32M1N5800A is optimal for the home office

The 32M1N5800A is not only supposed to be suitable for the home office due to its size. On top of that, Philips gives the monitor a few practical features that come in handy at work. For one, there is MultiView. This opens up the possibility of connecting several sources at once. Thanks to Picture-by-Picture, you can keep track of everything. Especially people who are regularly confronted with a lot of multitasking during work should benefit from this.

Incidentally, the two monitors share the pretty design. Thus, you get two almost bezel-less monitors here. According to Philips, the stand is made of metal. This should not only look high-quality, but also provide a stable stand. On top of that, it is supposed to be convincing in terms of ergonomics because it can be adjusted individually. Thanks to integrated cable management, you shouldn’t have to suffer from cable clutter either.

Price and availability

If you’re currently looking for a new monitor for the home office or gaming anyway, you should definitely take a look at the two new screens from Philips. You can already get the Philips 27M1N5200PA for an MSRP of 409.00 Euros. On the official website of Philips, you can strike now. The larger Philips 32M1N5800A has an MSRP of 979.00 Euros. It is supposed to be launched in March.
