Recaro Rae: high-priced gaming chair made in Germany

Are just under 600 Euros too expensive for a gaming chair? Then the new Recaro Rae is most likely not on your shopping list. However, the gaming furniture made in Germany is still much cheaper than the company’s sister models at this price. At the same time, you don’t have to do without highlights like 4D armrests as well as a synchro mechanism. We take a closer look at the chair.

Originally, Recaro primarily took care of the production of seating furniture for airplanes and automobiles. In the meantime, however, the German company has also made a big name for itself in the field of gaming chairs as a representative of the premium segment. The Exo models made the start, which not only stood out with a lot of ergonomic features, but unfortunately also had a high price tag. Now, with the Recaro Rae, a model series that can be afforded is finally to be launched. While Recaro charges at least 820 euros for its Exo models, the Rae furniture is to go on sale at a price of just under 600 euros. One does not have to accept such correct losses thereby probably.

Unlike the Recaro Exo, the manufacturer does not rely on a steel frame, but on a continuous support structure. This is to be able to shine with a maximum load of up to 150 kg. In addition to stability, the adaptability is also beyond reproach. Thanks to the built-in synchronous mechanism, the Recaro Rae shines with an exciting function that not even the Exo chairs can offer. With the help of this technology, you can adopt five different positions to always sit comfortably. The rest of the technical details look familiar again. In addition to a padded 4D armrest, there’s also a lumbar support that’s easy on the back.

Price and availability

The Recaro Rae is available now. When you buy it, you have a choice of five different colors. So you can choose to buy the gaming chair in white, black, orange, gray or blue. While the muted colors black, white and gray can be bought for 600 Euros each, Recaro charges 700 Euros for the version in orange and blue. This is far cheaper than the expensive Exo models.
