Samsung expands its range of smart monitors

In order to increase the selection of smart monitors, Samsungs Electronics has expanded its lineup of smart monitors. Now there are more design variants and more choices in display sizes as well.

Work-Life Blending Monitors

Last November, Samsung launched its new smart monitor series, taking a work-life blending approach by combining the setup of a business monitor with the features of a smart TV. This way, users can work, learn and enjoy after-work entertainment on just one device. Media and productivity apps, speakers and a variety of connections have already been integrated for this purpose.

With the new monitors, Samsung is giving out what people need because of home office and learning at home. Michael Vorberger, Head of B2B & B2C Sales, Professional Display Solutions & Consumer Displays at Samsung Electronics GmbH says of the monitors, “The Smart Monitor is our technological answer to a life in which work and leisure increasingly go hand in hand and living and working spaces merge. With the expanded lineup, we offer more size and design variants to meet different requirements.”

Variants of Smart Monitors

As the flagship of the new monitors comes the Samsung M7 (S43AM704) in 43 inches with UHD resolution, which is also available in 32 inches. The display offers 4k and is a reliable work device or can also be turned into an entertainment hub through the already installed content streaming apps. Apart from HDR10 feature and speakers, the new model has a solar-powered all-in-one remote that can be charged by light bulbs, via USB-C or indoor sunlight.

The Smart Monitor M5 resolves in Full HD and is now also available in 24-inch (S24AM506), which is meant to be a complement to the 27-inch and 32-inch variants. So there is also a more compact size here, for users who have a bit less space at their desk. The 27 inch and also 32 inch (S27AM501 and S32AM501) variants are now also available in an elegant white for this.

New features

Apart from more sizes and colors, there are now also additional features in the smart monitor range. Thanks to TV Plus, there is a wide selection of free live and on-demand content that can be accessed without a prior login or download. For content recommendations, there is also the Universal Guide, which makes suitable streaming suggestions according to the user’s viewing habits and preferences. The support of the voice assistant makes operation even easier, and not only Bixby but also external providers are now supported. For a secure and easy connection between external PCs and the monitor, the remote access function “PC on Screen” is added. This gives the user a wide range of possibilities with their smart monitor.

The connections of the individual models are also diverse. Mobile devices can be connected via USB, Bluetooth, Tap View, Mirroring, Samsung DeX or Apple AirPlay 2. Additionally, Microsoft 365 applications are also supported. With the entertainment hub, movies and series can also be streamed without a connected PC.

Availability and pricing

The availabilities and prices of the new smart monitors are not yet known.
