With Magician 7.0, Samsung has rolled out the latest version of its own management tool for consumer SSDs. In addition to a revamped dashboard, the update offers a Help Center with intelligent chat bot, improved benchmark tests, and the ability to check Portable SSDs with the same software.
Magician 7.0 makes SSD maintenance easier
The seventh generation of Magician supports internal SSDs from Samsung from the 840 series up to the current 980 SSD series, as well as now also external SSDs from the T5. Another new feature is that Portable SSDs can be used to determine performance benchmarks, reset to factory settings, and configure passwords and fingerprints to secure the data. Firmware updates can also be performed easily and securely via the management tool.
SSD maintenance and a good overview of all data is provided by the new dashboard. Compared to the previous version, you will find significantly more details here and can check the status of the SSD in real time even more easily.
The newly integrated categories of the dashboard also include the optimization rate and the status of the last diagnostic scan. This allows you to identify potential configuration errors and optimize the performance of the storage – this is done through performance tests such as determining current read and write speeds.
The performance optimization process has been revised in the latest update of Magician 7.0. Four modes can be set and applied if desired. The Full Performance mode maximizes the SSD’s performance, the Power Saving mode increases energy efficiency, and the Standard mode allows you to use power at a moderate level. Custom mode lets you set the specific conditions to your liking when running benchmark tests.
Help Center and Chat Bot for quick user support
Magician 7.0 also enables quick and straightforward help without having to contact the hotline. The newly integrated Help Center offers tips and solutions for user questions – and in a wide range of languages to reduce any language barriers.
An English-language chatbot also responds in real time. These features make it easy to maintain an internal or external storage solution, which can also extend the life of products.
