The recently introduced Sharkoon RGB Flow reminds at first glance of the Phanteks Eclipse P350X (test result “Excellent”), but with an introductory price of only 55 Euro is somewhat cheaper. The design of the midi tower is dominated by the LED strip that runs from the front below the left side window to the end of the case. The colour of the LED strip can be changed via the integrated control unit, which can also address four other RGB components. A total of fourteen light modes are supported. Alternatively, the LED strip can also be controlled by the motherboard, if a 5V-D-Coded-G or V-D-G header is available. This is for example the case with the MSI Mystic Light Sync ASRock Polychrome, Asus Aura Sync and Gigabyte Fusion.
Away from the LED lighting and the large side window, the Sharkoon RGB Flow Midi Tower offers hardly any surprises. The front consists of a fine mesh segment, behind which a 120mm fan is pre-installed. A further 120 mm fan can also be installed at the front. In the rear there is also room for a 120 mm fan and two 120 or 140 mm fans can be installed in the lid. Alternatively, a 360 mm radiator can be installed at the front or a 280 mm radiator under the cover.
The Midi Tower also offers more than enough space for the other components. CPU coolers can be installed with a maximum height of 165 mm and there are no restrictions on the graphics cards currently available. External devices can be connected via the IO panel at the front via two USB 3.0 ports and one USB 2.0 port.
