Silverstone Sugo 16: Gaming case in cube design presented

13 liters of volume in a cube shape, that’s what Silverstone’s Sugo 16 case offers, which the manufacturer has now unveiled. The mini-ITX case is made entirely of steel, and when a full-size graphics card is installed, it maxes out the internals.

On the outside, the Silverstone Sugo 16 case presents itself completely covered with ventilation slots. This is necessary to provide the installed hardware with the necessary cooling, after all, the interior of the 13-liter case in cube form is fully exploited.

Thus, the motherboard in Mini-DTX / Mini-ITX format can be installed rotated by 180 degrees, whereby the graphics card is supplied with air via the lid of the case. Adjustable brackets for the graphics card and the motherboard allow different configurations. The cards must not exceed the dimensions of 275 mm in length and 147 millimeters in width and cover a maximum of two slots.

In the ATX configuration, there is optionally room for a 3.5 inch hard drive, 2.5 inch SSD or an 80 mm fan in the rear, whereas in SFX mode, it is also possible to install a 120 mm water cooling or a 120 mm fan in the rear. Alternatively, however, the water cooling can also be installed at the front.

Compact dimensions

The Silverstone Sugo 16 turns out very compact with dimensions of 200mm x 232mm x 280mm (L x H x W) and weighs just 2.66 kg. Two USB 3.0 ports and a combined 3.5 mm audio port are found in the front panel.

The top, side and front of the case are also equipped with dust filters, which should prevent dirt from entering even in the long run. ATX power supplies of the maximum length of 220 millimeters are possible, CPU coolers may be a maximum of 172mm.

Pricing and Availability

The Silverstone Sugo 16 will be offered at a price of under $100, at least in North America, with black and white colors to choose from. The price for Germany has not yet been determined, but positioning just below the 100 euro mark can be expected here as well. However, it is not yet clear when the models will be available in this country.
