SPC Gear: New headset VIRO Infra Over-Ear announced

SPC Gear has always been known as a manufacturer of affordable but good gaming peripherals. With the VIRO Infra Over-Ear Headset, the gaming department of the company SilentiumPC wants to prove this fact once again. The headset is supposed to promise one thing in particular besides a great sound – longevity. We’ll take a look at what SPC Gear has presented there.

Saturated gaming sound

Gaming headsets should not only simply offer great sound. On top of that, they should make it possible to locate sounds. After all, especially in the shooter genre, it is of the utmost importance to know where a shot came from or the footsteps were heard. SPC Gear advertises the sound performance of its gaming headset with a warm and deep sound image. On top of that, the manufacturer says that the VIRO Infra Over-Ear can locate sounds in the room extremely precisely. At least on paper, that sounds like the perfect pair of headphones for gaming.

Long-lasting design

Despite a comparatively low price tag, SPC Gear also wants to emphasize that its VIRO Infra Over-Ear is a durable design. At the heart of the design is a metal headband that is meant to be durable, but also flexible enough to ensure a comfortable fit. Of course, you should be able to easily adjust the headband to your own head size thanks to matching engagement levels. The case itself is made by SPC from high-quality plastic, which is supposed to be damage-resistant thanks to additional metal plate reinforcement. Despite its durable design, the VIRO Infra Over-Ear is not a heavy headset at 256 grams. So you won’t have to worry about neck pain.

More Information

For many gamers, the microphone of a headset is at least as important as the sound quality these days. Accordingly, SPC Gear has equipped its upcoming headset with a microphone that is not only supposed to guarantee precise and natural sound recordings, but is also supposed to score with a detachable design. The headset’s integrated remote control is also particularly practical. With its help, you can adjust core settings like the volume to your liking. Muting is also possible here. By the way, SPC Gear also wants to offer the most comfortable fit possible on your ears. The headset, which is made in an over-ear design, relies on perforated material on the ear pads and should even allow for hours of gaming without any problems thanks to a headband with leather padding. At least on paper.

50 mm drivers

SPC Gear promises that its new VIRO Infra are supposed to offer a detailed sound that convinces primarily through neutrality. In particular, clear hearing, balanced mids and rich bass should be the order of the day here. But thanks to the virtual spatial sound, you should also be able to assign sounds to their respective positions without any problems.

SPC Gear also wants to take advantage of the over-ear design to provide a suitable mid-range feeling. This is intended to ensure that the wearer hears as little as possible of the outside world thanks to sufficient shielding, thus creating the perfect immersion.

Thanks to a 3.5mm jack connection, this exciting headset is not just reserved for PC gamers. Console fans should also keep the VIRO Infra in mind.
