Tesla Model S and Model X: Price increase also in Germany

Tesla vehicles are also more popular than ever in Germany. Due to the high demand, the price increase of the electric cars, which is already taking effect in the USA, will also be implemented in this country. Around 5,000 euros more will be due for the Tesla Model S and Model X.

Tesla raises prices for Model S and Model X

Both the Tesla Model S and the Model X received an update in 2021 with a retread interior as well as optimized drive technology. Due to the high demand, it will take about a year until delivery, as the new models will not be available in Germany until the end of 2022.

Pre-orders will be around another 5,000 euros more expensive with immediate effect, so the Model X with the maximum possible range is priced at 110,990 euros – in January 2021 it was still 95,990 euros, so in three steps the price has now been raised by a whopping 15,000 euros. On the other hand, nothing changes for the Plaid model, which is still priced at 116,990 euros.

In the case of the Tesla Model S, the price is now at least 101,990 euros, also a price increase of 15,000 euros compared to the beginning of the year. Here, a whole 126,990 euros are called for the Plaid variant.

Elon Musk: Demand unbroken

According to company CEO Elon Musk, a price reduction in the near future is rather not to be expected, rather Tesla can no longer keep up with the enormous demand with the production. Both luxury electric cars are in greater demand than ever before.

Things would look much better for the Tesla Model Y and 3, which could be delivered as early as December 2021 and February 2022, respectively. They are available from 41,990 euros and 56,990 euros respectively. In the third quarter of 2021, Tesla said it had delivered 232,025 Model 3s or Ys.
