Ticwatch GTK: Inexpensive smartwatch presented

With the Ticwatch GTK, the manufacturer Mobvoi has introduced an inexpensive smartwatch that is offered for the equivalent of about 40 Euros. Nevertheless, the features are absolutely impressive: In addition to a 1.3-inch display, there is up to 10 days of battery life.

Inexpensive smartwatch Ticwatch GTK launches in China

The affordable Ticwatch GTK will initially be offered only in China and has not yet been officially announced for Europe. At the online store JD.com, the smartwatch is offered for the equivalent of 40 Euros and still has a lot going for it.

Once again, Mobvoi boasts of a particularly long battery life. The Ticwatch GTK is supposed to last up to 10 days thanks to a 180 mAh battery. Among other things, this is ensured by an economical 1.3-inch HD color display, which can also be personalized with 100 watch faces. Externally, one relies on a black metal case along with a plastic wristband.

Simple features

In line with the low price of Mobvoi’s TicWatch GTK, the smartwatch’s features are rather rudimentary. Of course, there is a sensor for measuring the heart rate. However, the blood oxygen content cannot be measured, as the inexpensive model does without this feature.

However, up to 14 sports activities can be tracked, and sleep monitoring is also part of the package. In addition, the smartwatch is water-resistant up to 5 ATM, which makes it theoretically suitable for swimming.

The smartwatch transmits via Bluetooth 5.0, but Wi-Fi or LTE are not available. However, it is unclear whether there are smart functions in combination with a connected smartphone and which operating system is used.

We also do not know whether the Mobvoi TicWatch GTK will make it to Europe. Given the brand’s popularity in this country, which recently delivered a convincing WearOS smartwatch with the Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS, we can assume that it will.
