Zepp E – New brand with two Smartwatches introduced

The Chinese company Amazfit has been able to establish itself in the Smartwatch market in recent years. Now the subsidiary brand Zepp E has been unveiled, whose two Smartwatch models will initially appear exclusively in the USA and UK. The two models with their rather simple design are designed for everyday use as well as for sports. Technically, the Smartwatches do not differ except for the display.

The round Zepp E has a 1.28-inch AMOLED display (416 x 416 pixels, 326 PPI), the square version has a 1.65-inch AMOLED display (348 x 442 pixels, 341 PPI). Both watches have a steel case waterproof to 5 ATM. In addition to classic leather straps, there are also fluoroelastomer straps that are particularly suitable for athletes.

According to Zepp E, one charge of the 188 mAh battery lasts for ten days on average. The battery is recharged via the Pogo pin in two hours. In the current saving basis Watch mode even 15 days use should be possible. The sleep tracker, the heart rate sensor and the measurement of the blood oxygen do not function in this mode however. Later a software update will also provide a stress monitor.

The Zepp E Smartwatches can be used with Android and iOS smartphones. The app already known from Amazfit has merely been adapted for this purpose. Popular features such as the customizable Watchfaces, Strava, Google Fit and Apple Health can also be used with Zepp E.
