Samsung has unveiled the latest models in its smartwatch lineup: the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. These new models bring a number of improvements and new features that make them the most advanced smartwatches on the market.

Larger displays, slimmer design

The Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic offer larger displays without changing the size of the watches themselves. This was achieved by using narrower bezels and a more efficient design. The Galaxy Watch 6 is available in 40mm and 44mm sizes, while the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic comes in 43mm and 47mm sizes. Both models feature a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal that protects the display while providing a clear and vibrant display.

The return of the physical bezel

A highlight of the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is the return of the physical, rotating bezel. This popular feature allows users to easily navigate through apps and settings without having to swipe on the display. The regular Galaxy Watch 6 also offers circular navigation, but via a digital bezel that registers touch inputs.

Next-generation health and fitness features

The Galaxy Watch 6 series offers advanced health and fitness features. It offers comprehensive sleep analytics that provide information on total sleep time, sleep cycle, wake time, and physical and mental recovery. In addition, the Galaxy Watch 6 allows users to measure their skin temperature during sleep, which is used for menstrual cycle tracking and other purposes. The smartwatches can also detect abnormally high or low heart rates and automatically trigger an emergency call in case of falls.

Advanced connectivity and performance

The Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic are equipped with LTE, Bluetooth® 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n 2.4+5GHz, NFC, and A-GPS/GLONASS/Beidou/Galileo for seamless connectivity. They are powered by an Exynos W920 dual core 1.18GHz processor and feature 1.5GB RAM and 16GB internal storage.

Long-lasting battery

The Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic are equipped with long-lasting batteries. The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic 46mm has a battery capacity of 361mAh, while the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic 42mm comes with a 247mAh battery. These capacities allow for a long usage time, which may vary depending on usage.

Availability and Price

The Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will be available starting August 11. Prices start at 319 euros for the Galaxy Watch 6 in 40 mm with Bluetooth only. The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic starts at 419 euros in 43 mm.
