TUXEDO Stellaris Slim 15: Gaming-Ultrabook mit RTX 4070 und 240-Hz-Display

Following the Linux gaming notebook TUXEDO Stellaris 17 Gen 6 with top features, the manufacturer has now presented the more compact 15-inch ultrabook TUXEDO Stellaris Slim 15. It comes with fast CPUs, a maximum of one GeForce RTX 4070 and a 240 Hz display.

Anyone looking for a compact yet powerful gaming ultrabook will find what they are looking for in the TUXEDO Stellaris Slim 15. The slim notebook weighs just 2.1 kg and is only 2.2 cm high. It features a 15.3-inch LED backlight display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels and a refresh rate of 240 Hz at a brightness of 500 nits.

When it comes to the CPU, you have the choice between an Intel Core i9-14900HX or an AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS, which are powered with a maximum TDP of 55 W or 54 W respectively. The GPU is either the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 or the RTX 4070, both with 115 W TDP 25 W Dynamic Boost.

Up to 64 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM can also be configured, while a maximum of 4 terabytes of storage space can be realized as SSD memory. With the AMD variant, even up to 96 GB of RAM is possible at the peak.

The compact gaming notebook integrates four heat pipes and two 8 mm fans to dissipate the heat emissions of the high-performance components with an energy consumption of up to 160 watts (CPU & GPU) at the sides and rear of the housing.

Large battery, many ports

Both versions of the TUXEDO Stellaris Slim 15 rely on a large 99 Wh battery, which, according to the manufacturer, should last up to 10 hours with minimum brightness, without WLAN & Bluetooth, without keyboard illumination in idle mode in the Intel model, and up to 17 hours in the AMD version.

Charging is done with the included and compact 280 W GaN charger, or with 100 watts via USB Type-C. External monitors can be connected to the Linux notebook via Thunderbolt 4 (Intel) / USB-C 3.2 Gen2 (AMD) and HDMI 2.1.

The AMD version also comes with a dedicated Mini DisplayPort. There are also 3x USB Type-A and another USB-C data port alongside a full-size SD card reader.

The gaming notebook comes with Tuxedo OS based on Linux as standard, while Ubuntu and Windows 11 can also be configured as an option.

Prices and availability

The TUXEDO Stellaris Slim 15 will be available from June 17, 2024. The Intel version starts from €1,749.00 with RTX 4060, 16 GB RAM, 500 GB SSD and Intel Core i7-14650HX. The AMD version with RTX 4060, AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS, 16 GB RAM and 500 GB SSD is available from €1,699.00.
