Verge Mototcycles launches limited edition electric superbike from Mika Hakkinen

Verge Motorcycles had attracted attention at CES 2023 with a new electric motorcycle with 204 hp a new electric motorcycle. Now they secured the services of two-time Formula 1 world champion Mike Hakkinen, who has designed a new electric superbike. As top model, however, is limited to only 100 copies.

Futuristic bike with a Finnish twist: Verge Mototcycles’ Mika Häkkinen Signature Edition Prestige motorcycle is truly one-of-a-kind and limited to just 100 units. It comes with a distinctive identification number and signature of the former F1 world champion.

“From experience, I know what it takes to produce a vehicle that embodies speed, precision and elegance. My ambition was to design the motorcycle down to the smallest detail and not just pick the color. Each bike is numbered and bears an exclusive signature. This electric superbike represents the future of driving and is the expression of a fully fulfilled life!” enthuses Mika Häkkinen.

All this is combined with Verge’s expertise to deliver an electric superbike with a range of 350 kilometers and a battery that can be fully charged in just 35 minutes. It also features an integrated rim motor in the rear wheel, a patented and internationally award-winning innovation developed by Verge.

The bike relies on carbon fiber fairing, while an innovative ceramic finish protects against scratches. Uniform black shocks and dark gray and silver details provide a futuristic look. Visually, at least, it’s reminiscent of the Silver Arrow era, with which Hakkinen won the Formula One World Championship in the late 1990s.

The Verge TS Pro platform is used, with a torque of 1,000 Nm and an output of 102 kW. Up to 200 km/h top speed is possible, and from a standstill to 100 km/h the Mika Häkkinen Signature Edition motorcycle accelerates in 3.5 seconds.

The Mika Häkkinen-designed superbike from Verge Motorcycles can be ordered now directly from the manufacturer. The price, including taxes, is 96,200 euros. Delivery is scheduled for October 2023. Further details are provided by the official website.
