A comprehensive leak introduces the Vivo X70 Pro, which could be a real flagship killer with strong specifications. Accordingly, the manufacturer relies on an impressive quad camera with Zeiss branding and cutting-edge features.
Vivo X70 Pro leaked with impressive specs
The new top-of-the-line X70 Pro model from Vivo has already been leaked ahead of the announcement. Twitter users OnLeaks and 91mobiles show render images of the alleged flagship killer, which, in combination with the published spec sheet, make us want more.
According to these, the smartphone relies on an aluminum frame with rounded edges, as well as a 6.5-inch AMOLED display that boasts a refresh rate of 120 Hz and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. In the center is a selfie camera in a punch hole that is supposed to have a resolution of 32 megapixels.
Under the hood is a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset with 12 GB of working memory. Apparently, Vivo will also offer a variant with 8 GB of RAM. Android 11 serves as the platform for the Vivo X70 Pro. Connectivity also looks pretty good thanks to 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C for charging. The X70 Pro comes with dimensions of 160.4 x 75.5 x 7.7 mm, and all buttons (power button, volume rocker) seem to be installed on the right side.
Exciting quad camera
However, the highlight of the Vivo X70 Pro once again seems to be the impressive quad camera setup on the back. According to rumors, the main camera relies on Samsung’s ISOCELL GN2 sensor, which already provided top-notch image quality in the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra. The sensor in 1/1.12 inch format has a resolution of 50 megapixels. According to the leak, this is joined by a 13 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, an 8 MP telephoto lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
Like the Vivo X60 Pro, the X70 Pro also features Zeiss branding. The two companies have been cooperating since the end of 2020, with the core being the “Vivo Zeiss Imaging Lab” research and development program, which aims to develop mobile imaging technologies for smartphones. For portrait shots, this also includes the option of taking photos in the special style of the Zeiss Biotar lens.
