VW ID.7 Pro receives top marks from ADAC

When it comes to cars, the German Automobile Club (ADAC) is considered the expert par excellence. That’s why the club regularly judges the quality of vehicles. This has now also happened with the VW ID.7 Pro. The upper mid-range electric car was quickly awarded top marks and even came out on top of some of its competitors’ significantly more expensive models. The club has never awarded the “Very good” rating to an electric car before.

ADAC finds VW ID.7 Pro “very good”

Electric cars are now well established on the automotive market. Despite declining sales figures, vehicles with electric motors are playing an increasingly important role in road traffic. For this reason, the ADAC has already taken a closer look at many all-electric models. However, the association has not yet been able to award top marks. This has now changed.

The VW ID.7 Pro is the first electric car to receive a “very good” rating from the ADAC, as the association itself has now announced. The automobile club awarded the vehicle an overall score of 1.5, which is made up of various individual disciplines. Firstly, there is the engine and drive technology. Here, the vehicle scored a 1.0 across the board.

The safety technology also received a very good 1.1. The results in the so-called Ecotest were obviously also convincing, which is due in particular to the really good consumption values of the VW ID.7 Pro of 18.2 kWh/100 km. Here, the e-car achieved a score of 1.2. However, the vehicle was not convincing in every discipline.

Not even in terms of driving characteristics. The electric car received a score of 2.1 for these, and only scored worse in the body (2.3), trunk (2.3), interior (2.4) and costs (3.4). The result of the last evaluation criterion in particular is somewhat surprising. After all, at least the direct competitor models from German manufacturers are in some cases significantly more expensive.

BMW, Mercedes and Skoda in 2nd place

With its great result, the VW ID.7 Pro was able to knock three competitors off the throne of the previous list of the best. These were the Mercedes EQS 450 Plus Electric Art, BMW iX xDrive 50 and the Skoda Enyaq 85x L&K.
