Apple Watch owners can now complete the free update to watchOS 8.3, which succeeds version 8.1. What happened to version 8.2, probably no one knows exactly, but it does not matter.
watchOS 8.3 gets many new features and improves some bugs and issues that persisted with the previous version. Also new is support for the new Apple Music Voice subscription, which provides access to the entire music catalog for just $4.99 per month. However, control is only possible with the help of the voice assistant Siri.
The update is 360 MB in size and can be started via the “Watch” app on the iPhone, as well as directly via the smartwatch. For the installation, the Apple Watch must be on the charger, charged to at least 50 percent and connected to the WLAN.
The most important new features of watchOS 8.3
Apple has also implemented a few new features and improved the overall performance of the system. watchOS 8.3 includes new features, improvements and bug fixes, including:
- The Apple Music Voice subscription allows you to access all Apple Music tracks, playlists, and stations using Siri.
- The app privacy report is supported and can record access to data and sensors.
- A problem is fixed where mindfulness exercises can be interrupted by notifications for some user:s.
