Xiaomi 11T: Is it still allowed to call it a “basic version”?

Xiaomi launches a real flagship with the 11T at the beginning of October. Visually, it is very difficult to distinguish it from its sibling, the 11T Pro. Fortunately, Xiaomi already offers a lot in the basic version that the Pro version also has up its sleeve. The only drawbacks are the CPU and the battery charging time.

AMOLED display and triple camera

The Xiaomi 11T is in no way inferior to its Pro version when it comes to the display and camera. The 6.67-inch AMOLED display scores with vivid colors and impressive contrasts. The refresh rate also matches. A rich 120 Hz ensure that you get buttery-smooth moving images. This is not only a real satisfaction when scrolling in the browser, but also when gaming.

The camera hardware also matches that of the Xiaomi 11T Pro. That means you get a powerful triple camera here. This is made up of a main camera with an amazing 108 MP resolution, an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a tele-macro lens. The practical Cinemagic feature is also supposed to be available here. This one allows you to get the most out of the photos and videos.

Fast charging with 67 watts

The Xiaomi 11T also comes with a fast charging feature. Thus, you can fully charge the 5,000 mAh battery with a thick 67 watt power adapter within just 37 minutes. Samsung cannot keep up with that. Xiaomi’s biggest competition is only within its own ranks. After all, the 120-watt power supply of the Pro version ensures that the battery of the sister device is charged in just 17 minutes. So, there are differences between the basic and Pro version after all. And these don’t only affect the battery.

Processor power from Mediatek

Under the hood of the Xiaomi 11T is a processor from Mediatek. This is the Dimensity 1200 Ultra. Thanks to a clock rate of 3.0 GHz, the flagship is equipped for pretty much every application. The processor, which is manufactured in a 6 nm process, also offers dual 5G, which means it is optimally equipped for the future. In contrast, the Xiaomi 11T Pro comes with Qualcomm’s flagship, the Snapdragon 888. We will only be able to determine which processor has the edge in a direct comparison. The past has shown that Mediatek sometimes had big surprises up its sleeve.

Price and availability

The identical look of the Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro is also reflected in the color choice. Thus, you also have the choice between the three colors Meteorite Gray, Celestial Blue and Moonlight White for the base model. The flagship is scheduled to go on sale on October 1. You can currently get the smartphone with an early-bird discount. The model with 8 GB RAM and 128 flash memory costs just 449 Euros. If you need more storage, you can get the version with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage for the reduced price of 499 Euros.
