Xiaomi recently presented its novelties for the year 2022. Among them is the significantly improved fitness tracker Xiaomi Smart Band 7, which is now getting an improved sibling in the form of the Xiaomi Band 7 Pro, at least in China.
Xiaomi Band 7 Pro: details and info
In addition to the three new smartphones in the Xiaomi 12S series, the manufacturer also unveiled the new Xiaomi Band 7 Pro fitness tracker for the Chinese market yesterday. Basically, the Pro model builds on similar specs as the Smart Band 7, but comes with a completely new design.
Instead of a narrow display with round edges, Xiaomi relies on a significantly larger AMOLED panel with 1.64 inches and a pixel density of 326 ppi this time. This is even available as an always-on display and thus allows reading the time and other information at any time.
Exciting technical innovation: The GPS tracker is now directly integrated into the fitness wearable. This means you can have your route tracked automatically during sports and don’t have to rely on your smartphone. There is also NFC, which should make the tracker suitable for contactless payment.
Fitness modes and sensors
Otherwise, the Xiaomi Band 7 Pro offers everything that the normal Smart Band 7 is capable of. Among them VO₂-max professional workout analysis, sleep tracking, as well as SpO₂- and heart rate measurement. The 7 Pro is waterproof up to 5ATM.
The sports modes have also been revised. There are now 117 modes to choose from. In addition, there are special running courses and other health and fitness functions. The fitness tracker is offered with many different colored wristbands, and you can also individualize the look with around 180 watch faces.
Price and availability
The Xiaomi Band 7 Pro launches immediately first exclusively in China and strikes with an MSRP of 379 yuan, which is equivalent to just under 55 euros. If and when the fitness tracker will also be offered in Germany is currently still unclear.
