Acer presents two home office monitors of the CB2 series

The corona pandemic has made it clear that there is also an opportunity in every crisis. After all, it meant that many employers had to offer their employees the opportunity to work from home. However, many employees first had to provide suitable hardware within their own four walls. The market reacted promptly and many manufacturers launched suitable PCs, notebooks, peripherals and monitors. Acer has now introduced two new monitors that are supposed to score especially with their curved design. Let’s take a look at the CB2 series.

Curved design for immersive work

With the CB342CUR and the CB382CUR, Acer has two new monitors in the pipeline that are supposed to fit perfectly into the home office. The manufacturer does not only want to score with a chic design that is also supposed to fit into a homely ambience. On top of that, both models are supposed to offer everything that is expected from a modern monitor.

Acer promises all of this at a great value for money. Acer brings its CB2 series in either 34-inch or 38-inch. Thanks to the QHD resolution of the viewing-angle-stable IPS panel, the screen contents should be displayed pleasingly sharp. The curved design with 2300R ensures that you always have the most important content in view, according to Acer. The curved design should be particularly beneficial for multitasking.

The best conditions for the home office

During work, you should benefit from the TÜV-certified Eyesafe mode, which is supposed to reduce the share of eye-damaging blue light, among other things. This is supplemented by a flicker-free mode as well as Acer’s in-house low-dimming technology. To prevent back and neck pain, the manufacturer also seems to have thought about ergonomics.

Standing on a sturdy stand, the monitor is said to be adjustable in height and angle to suit personal needs. It is also very practical for work that the monitor can be used as a docking station. It offers a power output of 90 watts via USB-C port. For example, the user’s own notebook can transfer its image and be supplied with power at the same time. Besides the USB-C port, there is also a LAN port and a KVM switch.

Also equipped for gaming

Once you have finally finished work, you should also be able to use the Acer CB342CUR and CB382CUR for gaming. Here you benefit not only from the great picture quality and a contrast of 100,000,000:1.

Thanks to HDR10, the colors and contrasts are supposed to get even stronger. On top of that, both monitors with AMD Freesync also offer buttery smooth moving images without tearing in fast-paced games.

Prices and Availability

The two new monitors from Acer sound like a very good choice for the home office. Those who are currently looking for a suitable monitor anyway should take a closer look at Acer CB342CUR and Acer CB382CUR. The smaller monitor of the CB2 series is supposed to start at an MSRP starting at 849.90 Euros, the larger one at 1199.90 Euros.
