AGON PRO AG254FG: Gaming monitor with 360 Hz and Nvidia Reflex presented

AGON by AOC is going full throttle. Following the G3 monitor series and the new 49″ curved gaming monitors, the company introduces the AGON PRO AG254FG, its fastest gaming monitor yet, aimed primarily at the most demanding and powerful gamers and esports professionals.

Full performance

The AGON PRO AG254FG marks the first model in the new Pro range and relies on a 62.2 cm (24.5″) IPS panel that resolves in Full HD (1920×1080 pixels). Especially the enormous refresh rate of 360 Hz including a 1 ms GtG response time is remarkable. Nvidia G-SYNC with NVIDIA Reflex Latency Analyzer for minimizing system latency is also part of the package.

The 3-sided bezel-less front has been purposely designed to be minimalistic, while the back features AGON Light-FX RGB lighting that allows for 14 lighting modes and tens of thousands of RGB light combinations. A shade screen can also be mounted to protect against view obstruction.

Thanks to 110% sRGB coverage, the AGON PRO AG254FG’s display is said to offer vivid, natural color reproduction, even from a 178°/178° viewing angle. In addition, HDR-400 certification is also part of the package.

AG254FG with native NVIDIA G-SYNC processor

A native NVIDIA G-SYNC processor is also supposed to noticeably improve the picture quality. A variable refresh rate of 1 – 360 Hz is supported, which is supposed to prevent stuttering and tearing by adjusting the monitor’s refresh rate to the GPU’s frame rate.

In addition, the monitor relies on NVIDIA’s Ultra-Low Motion Blur technology. This adjusts the backlight to provide an extremely smooth display. As the first model in the Pro series, the monitor also supports Nvidia Reflex to minimize system latency. With the help of the built-in Nvidia Reflex Latency Analyzer, it is possible to measure the exact time between a mouse click and the change of pixels on the screen.

The developers also attached importance to the ergonomics of the AGON PRO AG254FG: The display can be adjusted in height, tilted, swiveled and rotated. Adjustments are possible using the included remote control (QuickSwitch) or AOC’s G-Menu software.

Other gaming features include Dialpoint (crosshair overlay) for better aiming, Frame Counter as a frame-per-second information display at each of the four corners, AOC Shadow Control to lighten dark areas without affecting the rest of the screen, or 6 gaming modes for different game genres (3 of them user-definable). At the 4-port USB hub, mouse, keyboard and other devices can be connected directly to the monitor. In addition, AOC installs 5W stereo speakers with DTS support.

Price and Availability

The 24.5-inch AGON PRO AG254FG will be available in September 2021 at an MSRP of €899.00.
