Alpenföhn Gletscherwasser: A new premium cooling

With the Alpenföhn Gletscherwasser a new complete water cooling of the luxury class comes on the market. This can be seen not only in the price, but also in the features offered. Thus the cooling system not only offers a strong performance, but can also be adapted to your own wishes.

Different models

For the Gletscherwasser of Alpenföhn you can choose between different models. Both come up with a depth of 27 millimeters. While one offers complete water cooling with a 240 mm radiator, the other comes with a larger 360 mm radiator. In both cases, the radiator is made of aluminum. The Gletscherwasser pump is based on a design that is becoming increasingly popular, which is based on two chambers. In the model with a smaller radiator Alpenföhn offers two fans of the type Wing Boost 3 ARGB. Those who choose the larger model will receive three fans of the same type. The fans offer a minimum speed of 500 revolutions per minute. When the fans are running at full speed, they again reach a maximum of 1,600 revolutions per minute. If that is still not enough, you should take a look at the high-speed version of the complete water cooling system. Here the fans reach up to 2,200 revolutions per minute.

A premium cooling system

It is not without reason that Gletscherwasser can be called a complete water cooling system of the luxury class. This is underlined by special factors. On the one hand the manufacturer Alpenföhn co-operates with novel harding with its water cooling. Better known as “der8auer” he is an absolute expert in PC hardware. Above all in the Overclocking scene the German made itself a name. But this is not the only factor that should vouch for the sheer performance of water cooling. In addition, Alpenföhn does not rely on a simple heat conducting paste for its compact water cooling system. Instead, “Thermal Grizzly Hydronaut” is used here. We can only find this material in the expensive luxury segment. Whether apart from the cool name also genuine advantages are to be expected to the classical heat-conducting paste, one must wait however. Last but not least, the compact water cooling system should be able to score with a cool designed pump. The Gletscherwasser comes here with a replaceable logo plate. With this you can design the pump as you like.

Price and availability

The two versions of the Gletscherwasser are available in stores now. For the smaller model with 240 mm and two fans you have to pay just under 160 Euro. If that is too small for you, you can get the 360 mm version with three fans for 180 Euro. The high-speed versions do not differ in price from the standard versions.
