In addition to the recently introduced Amazon Fire 7 Tablet, which is available from 55 Euros, Amazon has also introduced a new Kids Edition. The child-friendly tablet costs 100 euros and will be sent from 6 June. Amazon already accepts pre-orders now.
In contrast to the “normal version”, Amazon does not offer discounted models with special offers for the Kids Edition. The higher price is due to the special protective cover and the so-called “carefree guarantee”, which is granted for two years. Within this period, the tablet will be replaced free of charge with a new device, even in the event of electrical and mechanical damage caused by the user. Also included in the price is the Amazon service FreeTime Unlimited for one year, which provides access to 5,000 apps, games, learning content and audio books.
Available in blue, pink and violet, the tablet also features a stand integrated into the protective case. The built-in hardware is identical to the normal version of the tablet.
