Amazon introduces new Fire TV Stick 4K Max

Amazon has announced the new Fire TV Stick 4K Max, marking the company’s new top-of-the-line streaming stick. The Fire TV Stick 4K Max is 40 percent more powerful than the Fire TV Stick 4K and supports 4K Ultra HD streaming with Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and Wi-Fi 6.

Strong picture, rich sound

The new Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max features a new quad-core 1.8GHz processor backed by 2GB of RAM. This is supposed to result in a significantly faster launch of apps and smoother menu navigation. It is also the first Fire TV Stick with Wi-Fi 6 support. It uses the Mediatek MT7921LS Wi-Fi 6 chipset, which enables smooth streaming in 4K when multiple Wi-Fi 6 connected devices are in use.

The Fire TV Stick 4K Max supports 4K UHD, HDR and HDR10+, as well as Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. It is equipped with the latest Alexa voice remote, which can be used to easily search for the content you want. It can also be used to control connected smart home devices. Four preset app buttons can be used to quickly access favorite apps. Without another remote control, compatible TVs and soundbars can also be switched on or off and the volume controlled.

Picture-in-Picture Live Video

The Fire TV Stick 4K Max also enables wireless connection with compatible Echo devices. Soon, Alexa home theater will also support HDMI inputs for devices like cable receivers or game consoles. The Fire TV Stick 4K Max is also the first streaming stick from Amazon that enables picture-in-picture live video. This means you can still follow what’s happening on the screen while checking compatible security cameras or getting the ring video doorbell when someone is at your front door.

Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max

The Fire TV Stick 4K Max provides access to thousands of apps, Alexa skills, and channels, as well as thousands of movies and TV shows. For example, live TV, news and sports on Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, Sky Ticket, Disney+, ProSieben, ARD, ZDF or DAZN are supported. Songs, playlists, live radio stations and podcasts are available via services such as Amazon Music, Spotify and Apple Music.

Price and availability

The Fire TV Stick 4K Max is available for pre-order starting today at an MSRP of 64.99 euros and will begin shipping on October 7. The package includes the Fire TV Stick 4K Max, an Alexa voice remote (3rd gen.), a USB cable and power adapter, an HDMI extension cable, 2 AAA batteries, and a quick start guide.
