ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has unveiled its first ROG NUC, a mini PC designed for gamers and tech enthusiasts. This compact system offers impressive performance and graphics in a small form factor and is ideal for modern games and applications.

Mini PCs such as the Geekom A8 (our test) are certainly suitable for gaming thanks to the powerful AMD iGPU, but a mini PC with a dedicated graphics card is something new.

The ASUS ROG NUC is housed in a 2.5-liter chassis that measures just 180 x 270 x 50 mm and allows quick access for upgrades and cleaning. The modular design ensures easy customization and flexibility in setup. The PC offers numerous connectivity options, including Thunderbolt 4, four USB 10 Gbps and HDMI 2.1.

Gaming experience and AI functions

The combination of Intel Core Ultra 9/7 processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 or 4060 graphics enables smooth AAA gaming and powerful streaming. Specialized GeForce RTX 40 Series AI Tensor Cores provide advanced AI capabilities that enhance the gaming experience and support creative projects.

The ROG NUC supports up to 64GB (32 x2) of 5600MHz DDR5 SODIMM memory and has three M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 slots. So there is undoubtedly plenty of room for upgrades.

Price and availability

The ASUS ROG NUC offers a powerful and compact solution for gamers and tech enthusiasts. With its advanced hardware and flexible design, it is an excellent choice for anyone looking for top performance in a small form factor.

The ROG NUC is now available in various configurations, starting with U7-155H, RTX 4060, 8 GB RAM and 512 GB storage at prices from €1,928. The top model comes with U9-185H, RTX 4070, 16 GB RAM and 1 TB system memory for €2,372. This means that the prices are slightly lower than originally thought in the March leak.
