Asus Rog Strix Scope RX TKL Wireless Deluxe keyboard presented

Okay, that’s a really long name for a compact keyboard that Asus has introduced. The Asus Rog Strix Scope RX TKL Wireless Deluxe comes in a Tenkeyless form factor, works wirelessly in the 2.4 GHz band and offers versatile tri-mode connectivity.

The new Asus Rog Strix Scope RX TKL Wireless Deluxe is the first wireless keyboard in the Strix Scope series. Thanks to tri-mode connectivity, the keyboard can be used both wired via USB and wirelessly in the 2.4 GHz band and via Bluetooth. Switching modes is easily done via a switch on the back.

The 2.4 GHz RF mode provides up to 76 hours of stable gameplay with near-zero latency, even with RGB lighting turned on. Without lighting, battery life increases to an impressive 137 hours. The USB receiver can be conveniently stored on the back of the keyboard to save space.

In Bluetooth mode, the keyboard can even be paired with three devices simultaneously. A spontaneous switch between the platforms is possible at any time. With the help of the included dongle extender, the signal is supposed to be additionally improved. The extender is simply connected to the USB-C cable and the USB receiver.

Mechanical ROG Switches

The Asus Rog Strix Scope RX TKL Wireless Deluxe makes use of the ROG RX Red optomechanical switches. They feature central RGB lighting for all-around button illumination.

Thanks to hollow square shafts, four corner locks and an X-stabilizer, a particularly smooth and stable keystroke is said to be offered, which is implemented with almost no delay.

“Extensive research, testing and fine-tuning resulted in switches with a 1.5 mm actuation point for lightning-fast inputs,” the manufacturer states.

Thanks to the TKL design, the Scope RX takes up little desk space and even fits comfortably in a backpack. Also included is an ergonomic palm rest – not a given with TKL keyboards. It’s made of durable synthetic leather and can also be magnetically attached to the keyboard for quick replacement.

Integrated Sound Absorption and Quick Toggle

Integrated sound dampening improves acoustics by absorbing ping noises and echoes inside the keyboard. Added to this are typical features of the series such as the Quick Toggle, Stealth and extended Ctrl keys.

When the Stealth button is pressed, all apps are immediately hidden and all audio is muted to maintain privacy. Quick Toggle, on the other hand, is activated by pressing the Fn and Ins keys together. It allows switching between function and media commands for the top row of keys.

Price and Availability

The Asus Rog Strix Scope RX TKL Wireless Deluxe is available in stores now for an MSRP of 178.90 euros.
