Asus VivoBook 12 & 14 entry-level notebooks from 269 Euro presented

Thanks to their low price, the new Asus VivoBook 12 and VivoBook 14 notebooks are especially suitable for educational institutions, undemanding home users and other areas where high computing power is not required. The devices equipped with Windows 10 Home S are offered in three color versions for 269 euros (12-inch) and 279 euros (14-inch).

Thanks to the small screens and low weight, both models are very portable. The Asus VivoBook 12 weighs only 1,005 grams, the 14 inch version only 1,300 grams. Asus hasn’t published exact notebook dimensions yet. You will also look in vain for details about the display. The only thing known is that it is a “NanoEdge” display, which can be turned by 180 degrees.

Except for the different display sizes, the technical data of both notebooks are identical. Asus uses a Pentium Silver N5030 with 3.1 GHz clock frequency and 4 GB RAM. There is no dedicated graphics card in view of the low price. However, the existing Intel HD Graphics 605 should offer the notebook’s target group enough performance anyway. In addition, 128 GB eMMC memory is built in.

The notebooks are available immediately in the “exclusive, stylish Matrix Design” in the colors “Peacock Blue”, “Rose Pink” and “Dreamy White”.
