Brännboll collection: Ikea presents new gaming furniture

The fact that Ikea offers customized furniture for gamers is nothing new. However, with its brand new Brännboll collection, the Swedish furnishing expert wants to set itself apart from the competition in a refreshing way.

Ikea goes for unusual colors

Close your eyes and think for a moment about what a typical gaming chair looks like to you. Is it black or gray? That’s probably what many people think of when they think of suitable furniture for the gaming area at home. But Ikea seems to be moving away from this conventional look with its Brännboll collection. The new line, which comprises a total of 20 furnishings, focuses on refreshingly bright colors.

It is clear that Ikea has not brought in a gaming expert this time, but has apparently designed the new furniture itself. While older gaming furniture from the Swedish furniture store was more in line with the current models on the market, the new designs are more reminiscent of classic Ikea furniture. And the idea is a good one. After all, the gaming area blends in much better with modern living spaces.

Gaming with high seating comfort

As very few people like to play games standing up, the furniture in the Brännboll range clearly has the task of ensuring a high level of seating comfort. As tastes differ here, the Swedes’ repertoire doesn’t just include a simple gaming chair. Rather, there is to be an armchair, for example, that can be adjusted in its sitting position. The first images of a chair with a circular seat also look cool.

It can be inflated quickly and comes with a matching stool for your feet. But practicality is obviously not neglected here either. Brännboll will also be an entire cabinet and table arrangement for gamers. This should offer space for your PC, but also score points with well thought-out cable management and lots of storage options. There will also be numerous accessories such as a mouse pad or a shelf.

Prices and availability

Experience has shown that it shouldn’t take too long for the new furniture to find its way into local furniture stores. So far, however, Ikea has not commented on the price or release of the latest Brännboll series.
