Swedish furniture store Ikea is adding an exciting floor lamp to its smart Symfonisk lineup in 2023. The Ikea Symfonisk floor lamp comes with an integrated WiFi speaker from Sonos, which should speak for a high-quality sound.
Ikea Symfonisk floor lamp coming in 2023
Ikea is adding a new floor lamp to its Symfonisk portfolio, following the shelf speaker. For the Ikea Symfonisk floor lamp, the furniture store is once again teaming up with Sonos to install a Wi-Fi speaker – similar to in the table lamp, which was also created in collaboration.
In terms of design, the new floor lamp is reminiscent of the table model, but comes in much larger and with a new bamboo shade. The idea was to create a simple lamp that combines a unique sound with a soft mood light.
Launching as early as January 2023
The floor lamp is scheduled to be released as early as January 2023. The bamboo shade is integrated as standard, but additional lampshades are to be available separately and can be easily replaced.
Several Symfonisk -and Sonos speakers can be combined with each other, so that the new Ikea Symfonisk floor lamp can also be used, for example, as a rear speaker in a surround sound setup. The speaker works wirelessly with AirPlay 2.
With the new lamp, both manufacturers want to offer a model for all those who are looking for a larger light and do not have a dresser or table available. The whole thing is controlled with the help of the new Ikea Dirigera Hub including Matter support.
However, the Swedish furniture store still lacks further details. With the exception of the dimensions: the floor lamp is 136 cm tall, 37 cm wide and 37 centimeters deep. The cable has a length of 3.5 meters. A maximum of 15-watt bulbs can be used.
The Symfonisk floor lamp should be available in January 2023 at a price of 219 euros. At least that’s what the Austrian product website, which unlike its German counterpart is already online, reveals.
