IKEA Symfonisk: Unisk lets you design your own front cover

The smart picture frame IKEA Symfonisk (our review) is already a fine thing. If you like it a bit more individual, you can now design your own front cover – the Dutch manufacturer Unisk makes it possible.

Unisk: Design a frame for the IKEA Symfonisk

The IKEA Symfonisk picture frame is WiFi speaker and picture frame in one and could score in our test with easy handling, a noble design and very good sound. The sticking point (besides the price), however, is the selection of motifs, or rather panels, which could not completely convince us.

Until now, because the Dutch company Unisk provides a remedy. On the website of the manufacturer, you can quickly and easily upload your own pictures and use them as a front cover for the IKEA Symfonisk picture frame.

The selected motif is printed by the manufacturer with a laser on the matte, open acoustic fiber fabric and can be easily used on the picture frame. The fabric cover is easily attached to the holders of the Symfonisk picture frame with the help of flaps and can be replaced at any time.

High image quality and resolution

Unisk notes that custom image artwork should be uploaded at a resolution of 4000 x 3000 pixels and in JPG or PNG format, if possible, to achieve the best possible image quality for the front covers.

Thanks to laser printing, very fine details and lines can be displayed, but the colors on the finished product will not be quite as intense as they are on the artwork. Also, be careful not to place the main motif too close to the edges, as the motif will need to be trimmed during printing and the edges will be folded around the edges of the Unisk cover.

Price and Availability

The Unisk IKEA Symfonisk picture frame covers are available during Black Friday for the introductory price of 69.00 euros. They are manufactured directly at the manufacturer in the Netherlands and shipped from there. Within the EU, no shipping costs are incurred from an order value of 50 euros.

Alternatively, the manufacturer also offers covers for the IKEA Symfonisk bookshelves, these start at a price of 24.00 euros.
