Ikea Jetström: Smart LED wall light panel is dimmable and can change color

Swedish furniture retailer Ikea has released several new products in recent weeks. These include a smart socket and an inexpensive USB-C charger. Now there is another new product, the Ikea Jetström. This is a smart LED wall light panel that can adjust and dim the color of the lighting.

Ikea Jetström goes on sale

Measuring just 30 cm x 30 cm, the Ikea Jetström is a square LED wall light panel with rounded corners and an output of 9.5 watts with a brightness of 1,150 lumens. The panel is primarily operated using the included remote control, which allows you to choose between different colors, dim the light or switch it on and off.

The wall panel can be illuminated in neutral white (4000 Kelvin), warm white (2700 Kelvin), comfortable warm white (2200 Kelvin), candlelight (1780 Kelvin) and in the colors amber, dark peach, pink, light violet and light blue.

However, the remote control is available separately. Ikea does not specify which model is to be used in the product description. Presumably, the 9.99 euro Styrbar remote control can be used.

Alternatively, Ikea Jetström can also be integrated into the manufacturer’s smart home ecosystem and controlled via the Ikea Home Smart app. It can also be linked to the Dirigera hub, which enables voice control via Amazon Alexa, Apple Home and Google Home.

The light is mounted firmly on a wall using screws, but given its low weight, I wouldn’t necessarily rule out the possibility that Jetström could also be glued for greater flexibility.

Also available as ceiling lights

Ikea Jetström is a new product line for the manufacturer. In addition to the wall light, the range also includes two ceiling lights, which are also marketed under this name and offer the same options. However, the ceiling light panels are significantly larger, measuring 60 cm x 60 cm and 100 cm x 40 cm respectively.

The Ikea Jetström LED wall light panel is now available in furniture stores and online stores. The price of the light is 39.99 euros.
