Bugatti is broadening its range and wants to launch products on the market that no longer have much to do with automobiles. The exclusive car manufacturer from France wants to stir up the smartwatch market with the help of Kickstarter. A total of three models are to be available in the near future. We take a closer look at the noble and hopefully also intelligent watches.
French-Austrian collaboration
Cobbler, stick to your last. Since a smartwatch doesn’t really have much to do with car manufacturing, Bugatti is sticking to this very rule of thumb and seeking support from Austria. The watch experts from VIITO are to be used as cooperation partners. The car manufacturer itself is to lend its name as a licensor, thus ensuring a lavish success. Taking a look at the three upcoming models, Bugatti remains true to its reputation.
Thus, these also convince with an exceedingly noble look. Unfortunately, the whole thing is also supposed to have its price. VIITO itself, on the other hand, is no unknown player on the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter. The Austrians already tried to successfully carry out a corresponding campaign several times – with success. As a result, some exclusive models from the noble manufacturer are now available for purchase. So Bugatti has quite obviously got a very good partner on its side.
Three different versions
In the course of the cooperation between the two companies, three new watches are to be launched on the market at once. In addition to the Bugatti Ceramique Edition One Divo, the Bugatti Ceramique Edition One Pur Sport and the Bugatti Ceramique Edition One Le Noire are also to go on sale. So far, no obvious differences can be seen. Only the interchangeable bezels ensure that all three models differ a bit from each other visually. A look at the data sheet makes it clear that the smart watches from VIITO and Bugatti have a lot to offer.
First and foremost, the materials used match the high quality that Bugatti’s vehicles already bring. Thus, the two companies rely on a combination of titanium bracelets and a case made of ceramic. Water resistance to a depth of 100 meters also sounds impressive. The heart of the watches is of course the display, which relies on AMOLED technology and offers a resolution of 390 x 390 pixels. All three watches are said to be able to offer a battery life of two weeks.
Measuring devices for pulse and blood oxygen
To ensure that the watches under the auspices of the noble car manufacturer can keep up with the competition, VIITO naturally incorporates the latest technology. In addition to a heart rate monitor, a sensor for measuring the oxygen content in the blood is also said to be on board. But that’s not all. Athletes will be happy about the 72 different modes. On top of that, there are features like a sleep tracker, a step, speed and accelerometer, and and and. Of course, you can also display notifications from your smartphone on the exclusive wearable.
Saft prices
Where Bugatti is on it is also Bugatti in it? Certainly, the company scores with its exclusivity and will therefore by no means bring bargains to retail. The prices for the three upcoming smartwatches are correspondingly high. Depending on which of the three watches you want to choose, you will have to leave a whopping 900 euros at Kickstarter.

What sounds like a lot of money at first, turns out to be a real price hit compared to the targeted MSRP. After all, the three wearables are supposed to cost just under 30 percent more in stores after the market launch in October of this year (RRP: 1239.00 euros). So, if you have too much money on hand anyway or are a true Bugatti fan, you should definitely keep an eye on the three smartwatches.
