Corsair introduces three new SSDs with high speeds

The US manufacturer Corsair has enriched its portfolio with three more SSDs. The Gen4 PCIe x4 NVMe M.2 solid-state drives come with different key data, whereby a cooling circuit has been developed for the Hydro X series. The new SSDs hold large amounts of data with rapid transfer and durable performance.

High-speed reads and writes

The Corsair MP600 CORE SSD achieves up to 4.9 GB/s sequential read and 3.95 GB/s write speeds. In contrast, the MP600 PRO and MP600 PRO Hydro X come in at 7 GB/s sequential read speed and up to 6.55 GB/s sequential write speed. The storage capacities of the individual models differ. Capacities of 1 TB, over 2 TB and 4 TB are offered for the MP600 CORE. The MP600 PRO is also available with 1 or 2 TB, whereas the 4 TB variant is yet to follow. There is no choice of storage capacities for the MP600 PRO Hydro X, which is available in the 2 TB variant with an integrated Corsair Hydro X Series XM2 water cooler. The water cooler serves as an individual connection to the SSD’s cooling circuit.

High compatibility and performance

The industry-standard M.2 2280 NVMe interface allows MP600 SSDs to be installed directly on the motherboard. They offer high compatibility and performance. Due to the high-density 3D QLC NAND memory, it is possible to store more data while maintaining the same physical capacity. Sufficient cooling is provided by the MP600 CORE and MP600 PRO models’ aluminum heat sinks, which have a large surface area so that heat can be effectively dissipated and throttled. This ensures the performance of the SSDs for years. To assist with secure erasure and firmware updates, Corsair offers SSD Toolbox software.

Availability and Pricing

The first variants of the SSDs are already available. The Corsair MP600 CORE is available at a price starting at 159.99 euros (1 TB), 319.99 euros (2 TB) and 654.99 euros (4 TB). The PRO is available for 229.99 euros in the 1 TB variant and at 444.99 euros as 2 TB. The Hydro X with a storage capacity of 2 TB is available at 469.99 euros. The XM2 water cooler can also be purchased separately. It fits every M.2 SSD with the form factor 2280, and is available for 39.90 Euros.
