CORSAIR XENEON 32QHD165: New gaming monitor with 165 Hz and exciting features

Corsair has celebrated a premiere with the XENEON 32QHD165 and introduced its first own gaming monitor. It comes in at a size of 32 inches and offers a frame rate of 165 Hz with WQHD resolution and USB-C with DP Alt mode.

Powerful technology

For its first gaming monitor XENEON 32QHD165, Corsair relies on strong specifications. For example, the manufacturer installs a 32-inch IPS panel with WQHD resolution (2,560 × 1,440 pixels) with quantum dots and offers a variable refresh rate of up to 165 Hz with FreeSync Premium and G-Sync compatibility including DisplayHDR 400.

The display offers a viewing angle of 178 degrees, and the manufacturer specifies a response time of 1 ms. It also provides excellent color fidelity: 100% sRGB, 100% Adobe RGB and 98% of the DCI-P3 color space are covered.

Another interesting feature is the aluminum stand, which has integrated cable management and is equipped with a 1/4-inch thread at the top for quickly and easily connecting webcams, digital cameras, ring lights and other accessories.

In addition, the monitor can be controlled and customized with Corsair’s own iCUE software. Thanks to compatibility with iCUE Nexus or Stream Deck, it’s possible to switch between the different inputs with just the push of a button. However, a 5-way joystick on the back of the CORSAIR XENEON 32QHD165 is also available as an option.

Free choice of ports

The built-in USB-C port including DP-Alt mode enables an uncomplicated connection of notebooks, which in combination with a connection via four lanes also enables a picture output in WQHD with up to 165 Hz. Alternatively, a connection via two lanes is possible, which limits the picture to a WQHD resolution with 120 Hz.

This is especially interesting because the connection via two lanes simultaneously increases the speed of the USB-A ports that are also present. These support a maximum of USB 2.0 with four lanes, while they are addressed as USB 3.0 ports when USB-C is limited to two lanes and come to a performance of 5 Gbit/s.

In terms of ports, the CORSAIR XENEON 32QHD165 is quite varied: 1 x Display Port 1.4, 2 x HDMI 2.0b, 1 x USB-C DP alt. and a 3.5 mm jack are available alongside the two USB 3.0 ports. The display can be tilted, swiveled and adjusted in height, only a pivot function is missing.

Price and Availability

The CORSAIR XENEON 32QHD165 gaming monitor is available for pre-order now at an MSRP of 799.90 euros. According to the manufacturer, delivery will take place in three weeks.
