Dell G3223Q: First 4K gaming monitor unveiled

With the Dell G3223Q, Dell Technologies has introduced the first 4K gaming monitor in the company’s history. It is accompanied by the G3223D, a model with QHD resolution and 165 Hz.

The new models of Dell Technologies’ G-series are aimed at gamers and rely on quite different specifications. In this regard, the Dell G3223Q marks the company’s first 4K gaming monitor, coming in at a 32-inch screen diagonal.

It relies on a Fast IPS panel with a response time of 1 ms (gray to gray) and a refresh rate of 144 Hz. Thanks to HDMI 2.1 connectivity, it also enables 120 Hz at 4K on the latest PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles. It also has DisplayHDR-600 certification and supports AMD FreeSyncPremium Pro for smooth gaming.

The Dell G3223D, on the other hand, also comes with a 32-inch IPS display, but offers a QHD resolution and VESA DisplayHDRTM-400 certification. In return, there is a frame rate of 165 Hz. a response time of 1 ms (GTG) and a particularly high contrast ratio of 1000:1.

AMD FreeSyncPremium and Nvidia G-Sync are also supported. 120 Hz and VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) on the current consoles are also offered.

Both monitors feature ComfortView Plus, which reduces harmful blue light emissions while delivering lifelike colors. Both monitors connect via HDMI 2.1 or DisplayPort 1.4, while the G3223D also has a USB-C port.

Prices and Availability

The Dell 32 USB-C Gaming G3223D gaming monitor is available now from the manufacturer’s web store at an MSRP of $469.99. The Dell G3223Q 4K gaming monitor will find its way to the webshop on March 30, 2022. The manufacturer will announce the final price shortly.
