With the Inspiron 14 2-in-1, Dell has presented a new convertible that is equipped with the latest AMD or Intel processors. The basic version is available for $729 in the US.
Technical features: latest processors at work
In any case, the latest processors work inside the convertible: Interested users have the choice between Intel’s Core i3-1125G4, Core i5-1135G7 and Core i7-1165G7 processors as well as AMD’s Ryzen 5 5500U and Ryzen 7 5700U. The working memory alongside the respective processor is 4 (only with Intel processors), 8, 12 or 16 GB depending on the choice. In addition, there is an internal memory of between 128 GB and 2 TB. Those who opt for an Intel processor also have the option of installing a GeForce MX350 with 2 GB GDDR5 memory. The installed battery has a choice of 41 or 54 Wh. Furthermore, the operating system has to be selected. Dell offers Windows 10 in the S and Home versions.
Display with pen input and connectivity
The convertible is operated either via the keyboard or the touch display, which is designed for pen input. The fourteen-inch display has a Full HD resolution.
The device is also equipped with an HDMI output, two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, a USB-C port with power delivery support, a 3.5 mm audio port, and a microSD card reader.
Pricing and Availability
The device is said to be available in Europe since April 13. Euro prices, however, have not been released yet. In the US, the cheapest version of the convertible is available for 729 Euros.
