Dell introduces Inspiron 16 Plus with 11 percent larger 3K display

Dell, the US manufacturer of computers and storage systems, is really stepping on the gas in the spring. The company recently introduced four new gaming monitors and two gaming laptops. Now the new Inspiron models are also coming onto the market.

The new Dell Inspiron 16 Plus (7610) is a 16-inch notebook with an eleven percent larger display. It comes in a slim and classy aluminum case. The case of the 16 Plus is just five percent bigger than the previous 15-inch generation. The IPS panel displays content in a 3K resolution (3,072 x 1,920 pixels). In addition, there is a contrast ratio of 1,000:1, a maximum brightness of 300 nits, 10-bit colors and the sRGB color space is covered 100 percent. With the CofortView Plus display, blue light is reduced and it displays content in vivid colors.

Intel Tiger Lake and Nvidia GeForce

Intel Core H processors (Tiger Lake) of the eleventh generation bring performance to the Inspiron 16 Plus, here there is a choice between the Intel Core i5-11300H or the Intel Core i7-11370H. The Nvidia GeForce GTX and RTX are available as dedicated graphics solutions alongside the Intel UHD Graphics onboard solution. If the user opts for the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 (laptop), it comes with three fans and five heat pipes for cooling. In contrast, the other models have two fans and three heat pipes on board.

When it comes to the RAM, you can configure from 8 to 32 GB of DDR4 RAM with 3,200 MHz. A lot is also possible when it comes to the memory. Dell offers an M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD with 256 GB up to 2 TB. Another choice for the Inspiron 16 Plus is also the battery, here you can choose between a 56 Wh or an 86 Wh battery.

Connections and ports

The Dell Inspiron 16 Plus also has Wi-Fi 6 on board and a fingerprint sensor. There’s also a Thunderbolt 4 port, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, an HDMI 2.0, a combined audio jack and an SD card reader. The dimensions as well as the weight for the Inspiron 16 Plus are unfortunately not yet known.

Availability and price

Unfortunately, the new model of the Inspiron is not intended for the European market so far. Prices for the 16 Plus start at $949.99 in the standard configuration, which is around 800 Euros.
