DJI’s latest drone generation is apparently about to be launched. After new information about the DJI Mavic 3 has been circulating regularly over the past few weeks, a new leak from a YouTube user reveals the drone’s most exciting features.
DJI Mavic 3 with better technology
Brazilian YouTuber Dronemodelismo, who is well known in the scene, provides exciting details about the upcoming DJI Mavic 3 drone in his new leak video. For example, the battery capacity has been increased compared to its predecessor DJI Mavic 2 has increased significantly – 5,000 mAh or 6,000 mAh should be available according to the leak, which would be almost twice as much as the direct predecessor, which came asuf 3,850 mAh. In addition, the drone is said to have improved obstacle detection and no longer relies on lateral sensors. Instead, the drone uses wide-angle lenses on the front and rear cameras.
The Mavic is reportedly controlled using the RC231 controller, which is also used on the Air 2S. Alternatively, DJI will offer a new Smart Controller, according to the leaker. For the camera, the manufacturer is relying on a Hasselblad lens that combines two sensors in one case and is said to deliver strong image quality.
The main sensor is said to be able to record videos in 5.7K and that is stated at a of 24 mm and with an f/2.8 aperture. This is joined by a 7x optical zoom in the second camera. To provide ample storage for the huge videos, the DJI Mavic 3 stores the files on a 1TB internal memory.
