Elgato Neo: New product line to impress with plug and play

With Elgato Neo, the manufacturer has introduced a brand new product line that combines simple set-up with high-quality technology. The line comprises a total of five different products, all of which are new versions of the manufacturer’s existing devices. They all have a compact, white design and offer plug and play connectivity.

The line-up currently comprises a total of five products: The Key Light Neo, the Stream Deck Neo, the Facecam Neo, Game Capture Neo and the Wave Neo microphone. Thanks to its handy, white design, the new line should be ready for use anywhere and work on both laptops and mobile devices.

Most of the devices do not require any software and work with any PC with Windows 10 or higher, Mac with macOS 12 or iPad with iPadOS 17 or higher. However, if you like, you can expand the possibilities of the Neo line with certain software solutions.

Five Neo products at the launch

Elgato Neo currently comprises five different products. These include the Key Light Neo, a compact LED panel that can be easily attached to a monitor or stand and produces up to 1,000 lumens of light. It measures just 38 mm x 150 mm x 150 mm and weighs 246 grams.

The Steram Deck Neo is a handy desktop streaming device with eight customizable buttons and an info bar. A touch point can be used to switch between different layouts, while the stand allows adjustment in three different positions.

The Elgato Wave Neo, on the other hand, is a USB microphone that is designed to offer a professional sound. It comes with a foam pop filter and metal stand and has a headphone connection and cable management. The condenser microphone has a sampling rate of up to 24 bit/96 kHz and offers a maximum SPL of 120 dB.

The Facecam Neo comes as a handy 1080p60 webcam with a 1/2.9-inch sensor and an aperture of f/2.0. It weighs just 80 grams without the mount and is 88 mm x 32 mm x 40 mm in size. The range of functions includes autofocus, a privacy shutter and a USB-C connection.

Last but not least, the line-up includes the Game Capture Neo, which is designed for game recordings from PCs and consoles. It measures 123 mm x 65 mm x 20 mm and weighs just 90 grams. Videos can be recorded in a maximum of 1080p with 60 FPS, while pass-through is possible in a maximum of 4K with 60 FPS and HDR, similar to the Game Capture 4K X (our test). It allows direct recording to the hard disk or live streaming and sharing of recordings on Discord or TikTok.

Prices and availability

The entire Elgato Neo line-up is now available directly from the manufacturer. With the exception of the Game Capture Neo, all products have a recommended retail price of 99.99 euros. The Capture Card, on the other hand, costs 129.99 euros. The Elgato Store on Amazon also already lists the products, but they are not yet available there.
