Fisker Ocean Extreme is said to have 707 km range

The Fisker Ocean Extreme not only wants to score with its extravagant and modern design. On top of that, the E-SUV should put the fear of God into the competition in one of the most important disciplines. According to the manufacturer, the model’s flagship will have a range of an astonishing 707 km according to WLTP. This would make it the front-runner in the e-SUV segment.

Fisker Ocean Extreme with internal combustion range

Fans of cars with internal combustion engines rave first and foremost about the range of their vehicles. But the lead of gasoline- and diesel-powered models is steadily melting away. After all, electric cars are achieving ever greater ranges. The Fisker Ocean Extreme is now an e-SUV that is said to be able to achieve a range of over 700 km with a full battery. The battery in the vehicle holds a whopping 100 kWh. This can be gathered from a data sheet published by Fisker itself. This shows that 707 km are possible according to the common WLTP standard.

From experience, this figure is only values that can be achieved under the best conditions. In particular, a mild outside temperature and not too high speeds are prerequisites here. With a normal driving style, however, between 500 and 600 km should easily be possible. This puts the top equipment in the form of the Fisker Ocean Extreme, which should cost around 70,000 euros, a nose ahead of many competitors. Even the two weaker equipment lines, Ultra and Sport, are said to be unable to lift this range.

Performance difference between Extreme, Sport and Ultra

Fisker is not reinventing the wheel in the field of electric mobility when it launches its Ocean in different variants. But the differences between the three trim levels are nevertheless considerable and anything but typical. While Extreme is said to reach over 700 km, the Ultra is 610 km according to WLTP.

Here you get a decent 397 kW of power for 57,000 euros, which is only slightly below the 404 kW of the flagship. The base version in the form of the Ocean Sport is said to offer 202 kW and a range of 440 km. Fisker charges 41,560 euros for the entry-level model. These are immense price differences after all, as a difference of almost 30,000 euros between the base and top versions makes clear.

Fisker branches open in April

The U.S. manufacturer is now finally setting its sights on the European market, having already announced its release in Europe in February 2022. Thus, Fisker’s first flagship stores are scheduled to open in Copenhagen and Vienna in mid-April. However, the company does not yet appear to have final approval for its vehicles from the EU authorities. However, this is expected at the end of April. The first models of the Fisker Ocean would then also be delivered. In view of the fact that the company is still keeping some of the technical data under wraps, potential buyers will have to show some courage if they decide to buy now. However, what is known so far sounds like a promising addition to the electromobility sector.
