FRITZ!Repeater 3000 AX: Triband repeater with Wi-Fi 6 launches on the market

AVM announces the launch of the FRITZ!Repeater 3000 AX tri-band repeater. A new tri-band repeater that expands the WLAN with fast Wi-Fi 6 and intelligent mesh technology. Thanks to the three radio units with a total of eight antennas, the tri-band repeater offers high transmission rates of up to 4,200 Mbps.

FRITZ!Repeater 3000 AX launches

At IFA 2022, AVM debuted its new Wi-Fi 6 repeater, the FRITZ!Repeater 3000 AX, which will finally reach retailers next week. It relies on three radio modules, one in the 2.4 GHz band and two in the 5 GHz band. As usual for AVM’s tri-band repeaters, a 5 GHz module is used exclusively for wireless communication with the FRITZ!Box as a mesh center.

Four streams are available to this module for a stable connection. The connection to the end devices is handled by the two other wireless modules, each with two streams. Thus, a data rate of up to 4,200 Mbit/s is possible.

The repeater supports the fast Wi-Fi 6 standard and can thus serve significantly more end devices simultaneously. End devices can also be connected via cable via two Gigabit LAN ports.

In addition, innovative functions such as Crossband Repeating, Mesh Steering and Self-Healing function ensure that the FRITZ! WLAN Mesh always provides the best possible transmission rates.

Setting up the FRITZ!Repeater 3000 AX in a WLAN mesh with a FRITZ!Box is done at the touch of a button. You can also use the FRITZ! app to directly determine the repeater’s best position in the house or apartment.

The WLAN repeater also works with routers from other manufacturers, so it doesn’t matter whether you use it with an AVM router like the FRITZ!Box 5590 Fiber or the new Synology WRX560.
