With a weight of only 5 grams per earphone, the newly introduced Samsung Galaxy Buds2 mark the smallest and at the same time lightest True Wireless in-ear headphones from the Koreans so far. Exciting features like active noise cancellation (ANC) and a new “Earsbuds Fit Test” distinguish the model.
High wearing comfort with good sound
With the Samsung Galaxy Buds2, the manufacturer has presented the latest offshoot of its own in-ear headphone series, which wants to score with exciting features. In terms of design, the new model is based on the look of the Galaxy Buds Pro, which should speak for a high wearing comfort due to the ergonomic shape.
Each earphone is equipped with two drivers, which should ensure a balanced and rich sound. Above all, Samsung promises clear trebles and deep basses. Three built-in microphones and the Voice Pickup Unit also ensure clear speech quality during phone calls. Background noise is attenuated with the help of an AI.
With the help of two microphones, ambient noise is also mitigated. Thanks to the ANC function, up to 98 percent of ambient noise can be blocked out. In addition, the Galaxy Buds 2 offer a transparency mode, which can be regulated in three stages.
Galaxy Buds2: Lightweights with practical passport test
Just 5 grams weighs each of the two Samsung Galaxy Buds2 earphones. Up to 20 hours of battery life are achieved in combination with the charging case, divided into a maximum of 5 hours for the in-ear headphones and another 15 hours by the charging case. These are decent, but not very impressive values.
Additional silicone ear pads in three sizes are also included, which can improve the wearing comfort individually. Especially in-ear newcomers should also enjoy the “earphone fit test” in the Galaxy Wearable app, which helps choosing the right size for the ear pads.
In addition, the Galaxy Buds2 are able to automatically connect to compatible devices in the Samsung Galaxy family. The new The Galaxy Watch4 also supports Quick Buds Control, making active noise cancellation control or battery level information available right on the wrist.
