The audio professionals at Nubert have taken advantage of the HIGH END 2023 in Munich to unveil a whole range of new products. nuControl X marks a new high-end preamplifier, while nuConnect ampXL is a new integrated amplifier. There’s also a special edition of the nuVero 60 and nuVero 170 in dazzling brilliant blue, while the Red Dot Design Award-winning nuGo! ONE is designed to enable Nubert sound on the go.
An overview of Nubert’s new products
The new integrated amplifier nuConnect ampXL represents a highlight. This now comes with a whopping 2x 340 watts of power and shines with a particularly high load stability. It has a 6.3 mm jack output for headphones and comes with modern wireless technology.
Thanks to Wi-Fi connectivity, the ampXL is WLAN-enabled and allows the wireless transfer of music from various streaming services such as Deezer and Spotify also via Apple AirPlay and Google Chromecast.
High-end preamplifier Nubert nuControl X
“Much more than a mere preamplifier, the new high-end nuControl X preamplifier is sure to win many fans, promises the manufacturer. It marks the successor to the popular nuControl 2 and comes with analog and digital feeds. Streaming is also possible, a modern network technology should allow playback in the best possible quality.
nuControl X streams the music via WLAN and Bluetooth directly to speakers and headphones. In addition, the new preamplifier can be connected to streaming services such as Apple AirPlay, Amazon Music, Tidal and other platforms. Of course, Nubert’s own wireless protocols X-Connect and X-Connect Surround are also on board, so the preamp can be integrated directly into existing stereo or surround configurations.
Classic PC hard drives or USB sticks can also be easily controlled as playback sources via USB. In addition, you can use noControl X as an external sound card for the PC and achieve a maximum quality of 768 kHz at 32-bit depth.
A high-quality phono input and the possibility to set all DSP parameters separately for all channels will please analog fans in particular. With a 7-band equalizer you can influence the sound at any time. Bass and treble can be adjusted separately, various presets and customizable settings testify to individualization. The 4-inch TFT color touchscreen display also simplifies operation.
nuVero in brilliant blue
For 15 years, Nubert’s nuVero speaker series has stood for elegance and the best possible sound quality. The compact speaker nuVero 60 and the flagship, the nuVero 170, now come in a limited special edition in the color brilliant blue. They await with a high-quality metallic paint in bold blue and, of course, rely on the advantages of the two models in other colors. To mark the anniversary, Nubert is offering a full 15-year warranty on all nuVero models purchased in the period from May 18 to August 31.
nuGo! One
With the nuGo! ONE, the manufacturer wants to make classic Nubert sound possible on the go. The extravagant design of this speaker, with its gently rounded shape and anthracite-colored fabric cover, has already won the Red Dot Design Award.
This speaker not only pairs with your smartphone or other input source via Bluetooth, but also features a full-featured radio receiver unit for DAB+ and FM. A bass and mid-range tone balance is said to further enhance the sound, while there’s even an alarm function on board. The integrated battery is said to be able to last for up to 24 hours.

Prices and Availability
All Nubert innovations are available directly from the manufacturer. The nuGo One is priced at a suggested retail price of 285.00 euros. The nuConnect ampXL is not currently available, but is priced at a MSRP of 1,485.00 euros. You can get the nuControl X for 4,490 euros, nuVero 60 is available for 825.00 euros per unit, nuVero 170 for 3,950.00 euros per unit.
