Creative: Sensemore Air in-ear headphones unveiled

Creative has introduced its latest in-ear headphones, the Sensemore Air. The new model offers three different modes that are supposed to come up with different sensitivity regarding ambient noise.

Noise cancelling or having conversations?

Most mid-range and high-end headphones on the market today are equipped with noise-canceling features. These ensure that ambient noise is blocked out, which should allow you to concentrate on the music even in noisy environments. In some everyday situations, however, this is just not desirable. For example, more and more people want to listen to music and have a conversation at the same time. To make this possible, Creative has developed the Sensemore mode. In this mode, the sensitivity to certain ambient sounds, especially speech, is significantly increased. This makes it possible to participate in a conversation without having to take out the headphones.

There is also a mode in which ambient noise is muffled, but not completely eliminated. This mode is particularly suitable for people who move around outdoors and want to be aware of sources of danger in good time. If you are jogging along a busy street, for example, you should by no means rely on complete noise cancelling, since approaching cars, honking horns, etc. cannot be perceived in time, which significantly increases the probability of an accident.

The third mode is the noise cancelling mode, in which ambient noise is completely blocked out. This mode is suitable for all those who want to concentrate completely on the music being played. All three modes can be adjusted in the app that comes with the headphones. Especially the sensitivity can be adjusted individually here.

Charging cradle and quick charging function

The headphones are delivered with a charging cradle. This is significantly smaller than other wireless models from Creative. This is supposed to ensure that the headphones can also be charged easily on the go – for example, in the handbag, pants pocket or jacket pocket. The charging process should only take a short time thanks to the quick charging function. Thus, already after ten minutes of charging enough energy for two hours of runtime should be available.

A full battery charge provides up to ten hours of runtime. The charging case, in turn, contains enough energy for two and a half full charges of the headphones. Only then must be reconnected to the mains. Alternatively, it is possible to charge the charging case wirelessly via Qi technology.

Further features

Meanwhile, 6mm bio-cellulose drivers are responsible for the sound, which should create a balance between highs, lows and mids. Individual sound profiles can be created in the Creative app and the equalizers can be adjusted.

Other features of the Sensemore Air include four microphones, two of which are used for noise filtering and two for voice recording. In addition, there are touch control buttons that can be individually assigned, Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, SXFI-Ready as well as IPX5 certification.

Price and Availability

The new headphones are available now directly from Creative. It is priced at 99.99 euros. The in-ear headphones are thus significantly more expensive than the last gaming headset Sound Blaster Blaze V2 presented.
