With the Creative Sound Blaster Blaze V2, the manufacturer has introduced an affordable new gaming headset that does without all gimmicks and wants to focus solely on the sound qualities.
Creative Sound Blaster Blaze V2: Simple and good
The Creative Sound Blaster Blaze V2 is a new gaming headset with wide-ranging compatibility. It connects easily via 3.5mm jack to PC, smartphone, tablet and all Playstation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch consoles.
Sound-wise, the unobtrusive black headset relies on specially tuned 40mm FullSpectrum neodymium drivers, which the manufacturer claims provide powerful bass and clear sound.
The drivers cover a frequency band from 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz with an impedance of 32 ohms. This is joined by a detachable microphone with noise cancellation, which should enable clear communication. The Blaze V2 is operated with the help of the inline remote control, which also has a mute button for the microphone.
Customization and comfort
Via Windows app, you get access to the Sound Blaster Studio Essential Suite, which offers several options for enhancing sound – including virtual 7.1 surround sound, Acoustic Engine, and more. You should also be able to further improve sound with the Soundblaster X1 USB DAC, which was only introduced about a month ago.
High-quality premium velvet padding on the enclosing earphones and headband, combined with the low weight of 187 grams, should also ensure a high level of wearing comfort.
